APPLYING POLISH
When painting nails, color the very tip of the nail first. This makes the color last longer.
QUICKER DRYING
For quick drying nails try using baby oil after applying polish.
SMALL NAILS?
If you have very small nails, use a metallic colored nail polish as this will make your nails look bigger.
POLISH TRICKS
To avoid bubbles in your nail polish, roll the bottle between your hands. Do not shake as this is what causes the bubbles.
STRONGER NAILS
Stop using your nails to open pop cans, as this causes them to split and eventually break.
SOFTENING CUTICLES
To soften your cuticles and help brittle nails become more resilient, try soaking your fingernails in warm olive oil.
LONGER NAILS
Use darker colors and do not paint edges of nails. Makes nails look thinner, and hence longer.
NAIL FILING TECHNIQUES
File nails only when wearing polish to avoid spliting or breaking nails.
STRENGTHEN YOUR NAILS
Wear nailpolish on longer nails frequently, either colored or clear, to re-enfroce the nail.
REDUCING NAIL DISCOLORATION
To avoid discoloring of nails, always use a base coat on nails before using colored nail polish. This stops the colored polish from being in direct contact with the nail.
AVOIDING NAIL FUNGUS
To avoid nail fungus always use an antibacterial soap to clean your manicure tools and if possible take your tools with you when you are going to get a professional manicure.
STRONGER NAILS #2
To avoid nails splitting, always use a moisturizer after washing your hands, and try taking some vitamins to make the nails stronger.
SOFTENING HANDS
To make hands softer, put them in whole milk for five to ten minutes before beginning your manicure.
WHITER NAILS
While getting a manicure, soak nails in warm soapy water with a cup of hydrogen peroxide. This will whiten your nails and get rid of yellow stains.
FASTER POLISHING
Speed drying by dipping nails in ice water.
