If you want to look your best, it may be time for a change. Maybe you want your lips to look a brilliant red or you prefer to look soft and natural. Either way you can achieve your goal and look as beautiful as can be, all year long.
Sometimes lip liner alone can look artificial. If the color compliments your skin tone or you really like the look of a definitive line around the lips, then lip liner can be a good choice for you. Most of the time the look of full lip color is better.
Find a lipstick or even a blend of two colors which you feel will suit you. Bring it to your appointment and discuss the possibilities of a match. With a skilled technician, almost any number of colors can be blended to match your favorite lipstick. One thing to understand is that most lips have a blue undertone. �Cool� or �winter� colors are to be chosen carefully as their bluish base will be exaggerated once they enter the skin. The same goes for brown tones That�s not to say they can�t be used. Your technician will help you decide what will work well with your skin and offer suggestions if another color would be more complimentary.
If a brilliant color is what you want to achieve, there are some wonderful colors available. Permanent lip color looks magnificent when applied well, but remember, the color is IN your skin, not on top of it, like traditional lipstick. The best way to bring out the brilliance is to add clear gloss. You will be amazed at the difference.
Natural colors will look like your natural lip, just as if you were born that way. You can always put opaque lipstick over any permanent lip color to change your look, depending on your outfit, mood or special occasion.
The final shape of the lip is incredibly important.For clients who want to have larger looking lips, usually going to just the very outer limits of the vermilion (edge) of the lip itself is sufficient. Extreme caution must be taken when extending the color into the surrounding skin. . Experiment with your own lip pencils to see what look you like the best and then discuss the shape and color thoroughly with your technician.
Finally, remember that permanent lip color may fade considerably in seven to ten years. You will almost always need at least one touchup appointment and the more intense the color implanted, the longer the color will last. You must protect all permanent cosmetic color from the sun.
