EYE QUICK TIPS

BAGS UNDER YOUR EYES?
Ever wake up from a late night out and discover you have terrible dark bags under yr eyes? Never fear - just take a piece of ice and apply it to the bags... perfect!

BAGS UNDER YOUR EYES? #2
Ok, we all know that when we don't get enough sleep we get bags. And of course they can't be just skin tone color, the bags have to be green or blue or bright brown. So I figured out a way to get ride of them in just a few minutes. OK, here it is: Go to the store you and buy some of the Hemorrhoidal cream ( I know it sounds really weird but it works). Put a little dab of it under your eyes.

ELIMINATING BAGS UNDER EYES
To reduce the dark circles that sometimes appear under eyes, put teabags over your eyes.

NATURAL MASCARA
putting a light dab of vaseline on your eyelashes makes them look like you put mascara.

PLUCKING EYELASHES
After plucking it is helpful to reduce all the swelling and redness by placing an ice cube where you plucked.

BROW COLOUR
Did you know that brows should be a little lighter than your hair color? Yes, it's true...about two shades. However, if you are blond or gray, the opposite is true.

EYEBROW SHAPE
Did you know that your eyebrow is supposed to start directly above the inner corner of your eye? The highest point should be just a little beyond the outer corner of the iris and should taper off to the end! OK, so now you know...

EYELINER TOO HARSH?
If you don't like the sharpness of your eyeliner, you can soften it using your eye shadow brush by adding a little powder shadow of a similar shade.

REMEDY FOR PUFFY LIDDED EYES OR EYES WITH NO DEFINED CREASE
1. Apply a touch of black eyeshadow in the center of the upper lashline.

2. Sweep a taupe or natural color eyeshadow over the crease and slightly above it. .....(Remember, we're working with minimal space here...not Cher's lids! ).....

3. Use an eyeshadow shade that's lighter on the browbones and lids.

That way, when the light hits your peepers, the highlighted area of the eyes will stand out as the crease appears, well, creased! The upper lids lined with black shadow in the center provides a contrast with the highlighted lid to create more visible lids.

HOW TO CURL & LENGTHEN YOUR EYELASHES
Since we can't all be blessed with long lashes, thank goodness mascara can make it look as if we were. Here is a very simple method of applying mascara for every day wear.

1. Draw wand out of mascara tube and remove access on a piece of paper towel.

2. Hold wand horizontally and slowly twirl as you move the brush from the roots to the tips.

3. To set curl, hold wand and lashes together at the tips for a several seconds.

4. Apply second coat before the first coat has dried to avoid clumping.

5. Apply mascara carefully to the bottom lashes, holding wand vertically.

6. While lashes are still wet, comb through the lashes (carefully) with a lash comb to separate each lash.

Tips:

Be sure to wash off your mascara each night. Not only will it smear during the night, you won't be able to apply more until your lashes are free from the old mascara.
Mascara is a breeding ground for germs. Be sure to replace it every three months.
Never pump the wand into the tube. This procedure only adds air to the mascara, drying it out.

BIGGER EYES
Problem:
My eyes are very small. Are there any makeup tips to make them stand out more?

Solution:
Eyeliner is the magic wand for creating the illusion of bigger, more expressive eyes. Line the entire top lash line and extend the line slightly at the corners. You can also line the bottom of your eyes, but concentrate color only on the outer third and extend it slightly past the edge. (We're not talking Elizabeth Taylor in Cleopatra here.) A soft, smoky look will open your eyes more than a thin, hard line. Stick to dark, neutral colors with a hint of black for lining, as bright shades will only make them seem smaller.

Lashes can also be a great eye-opener. Curl them three times before applying mascara -- at the base, halfway up and at the tip -- to create a gentle, rounded curl. Fan out your lashes while applying mascara. Brush the inner third in toward your nose, the middle third straight out and the outer third toward your temples.

Contrary to popular belief, dark, dramatic eyeshadow will not make your eyes stand out. In fact, it'll do just the opposite. If you have small eyes, keep it simple by using only light-colored shadows, and never wear more than two shades at once. Brush a subtle base color from lash to brow, and then use a slightly darker shade to create subtle definition in the crease.

KEEP YOUR EYEBROWS IN PLACE
If you are having trouble taming your brows, here is a little trick: Take a toothbrush and spray with a little hair spray and then brush on brows. The stickiness of the hair spray will help keep them in place.

A NICE CONTOUR
This is an alternative to tweezing. Brush them up so that the really long hairs will be very visible. Instead of tweezing and creating a hole, snip it with a pair of tiny scissors. Works wonderfully

USING AN EYESHADOW PENCIL
You should not draw the pencil across your eyelid as this could cause stretching of the skin.
Instead, apply the color to the palm of your hand, then pick up some of the color with your pinky and apply gently to your eyelid.

YOUNGER LOOKING EYES
The first step is to reduce fine lines. So apply a little eye cream on the brow bone and under the eye.
Next dab on a concealer that matches your skin tones.
The last step is to line the eye with a white pencil just beneath the lash line. This will give the impression of larger and brighter eyes.

CURLY EYE LASHES
To have long lasting curly eyelashes apply heat to eyelash curler for about 30 sec. with hairdryer and curl lashes.

DARKER LASHES
Applying baby oil to darken your lashes if you don't have mascara on hand.

REMOVING EYE MAKEUP
Use baby shampoo to remove eye make-up.

LONGER STAYING EYELINER
To help eyeliner stay fresh, brush over with eyeshadow.

THICKENING MASCARA
Leave runny mascara open all night so it wont run when used in the morning.

RUNNY MASCARA
To bring runny mascara to a desired texture, leave it open over night. This will harden the mascara and stop it from running.

FULLER LASHES
If you wash out an old mascara brush and use it with Petroleum Jelly during the day it gives your lashes a fuller look.

REDUCING PUFFINESS
Put 2 spoons in the freezer for about 5 minutes, then put them on your eyes to reduce puffiness.

REDUCING PUFFINESS #2
To reduce puffiness around the eyes, try using a little Preperation H. Be careful not to get it in yur eyes.

REDUCING PUFFINESS #3
Nobody really knows WHY this is so effective on under-eye puffiness, but it IS. The procedure is very simple: peel an avocado, remove the pit, and slice a half into quarter-inch crescents. Lie down, secure a few slices under each eye, and rest for about 20 minutes. The result is corrective magic.

EYESHADOW TIP
Always apply base and powder over your eyelids, as this makes eyeshadow stays on all day.

CLOSE SET EYES
If you think that your eyes are close, do not wear glasses with large frames as this will make your eyes seem even closer.

KEEP HAIRS IN PLACE
Hair spray, clear mascara and hair/mustache wax can be used on eyebrows to keep hairs in place.

EYEBROW COLOR TEST
Before bleaching or coloring eyebrows, apply colored mascara to eyebrows to test the shade.

CHANGING EYESHADOW COLOR
To lighten the color of creme eye shadows, creme blush and lipstick, mix with concealer before applying.

MASCARA USE
Replace your mascara every three months to avoid bacteria as well as unsightly clumping on eyelashes.

FULLER EYES
When using an eye liner for the bottom eye lid, only apply the liner half way across (that is, from the inside, half way out). This allows your eyes to look fuller, and the makeup more natural.

MASCARA APPLICATION
When applying mascara, always have a wet cotton ball handy, to wipe away any smudging before they dry up.
